Free Convert MP4 to AVI FLV MPEG WMV MOV Converter is a video converter. Although the title makes you think that only MP4 is supported, MPEG, MP3, 3GP, and M4V videos are also accepted as input files. There is support for quite a few output formats as well. The good thing is that the application has quite a few conversion profiles that are optimized for playback on mobile devices such as the iPhone and iPod, several phones, and some video game consoles.
This tool shares the same interface as every other converter by Xillivideo. It looks a lot like that of Microsoft Office 2007, with a tabbed interface. But for most operations, you don't even need to leave the main tab. There, you can select the file that you want to convert and the output profile. There is a YouTube video downloader that doesn't work, so you can just go ahead and ignore it. The converter has a video player built-in that allows you to preview your videos, but not the actual conversion of the videos.
In my testing, not every MP4 file worked. I tested it with an h.264 MP4 file and the application just refused to convert it. I had better luck with standard MPEG-4 files. They converted just fine. |
